Salfordautism

Autistic people doing it for themselves

Salfordautism was founded and is run by Peter Baimbridge. It is a wholly autistic-lead and run not-for-profit community interest company that uses autistic professionals to offer a range of practical support with the problems that living in a neurotypical world can throw up for an autistic person.

Salfordautism exists to support anyone who is, cares for, or is affected by someone with an autism spectrum condition, and is unique in operating the only 24/7 autism support line staffed by autistic people who can and will help (0771 390 3224), through which they support autistic people throughout most of mainland UK.

Salfordautism also delivers bespoke autism training to all types of public and private organisations and individuals (incorporating input from their own direct experience, what they have learned from a decade supporting autistic people, and the voices of the wider autistic community), and they will undertake individual casework where appropriate and deliver autism-specific advocacy (including benefit claim support) where appropriate.
